Life on the green

Located in the centre of the town, the Hossegor golf club lays down the green carpet for amateurs and professionals of the sport. The 18 hole course offers a passionate game and is remarkably well integrated into the landscape.

The upkeep of the 18 hole layout is excellent and still keeps its original `30s look that respects nature´s bounty and encourages concentration. Built between 1927 and 1930, the course is protected from the marine winds. Its design is signed by Alison Colt and Sir Morrison, both specialists in this domain. It is typically British and is designed with respect to the natural environment. The soil is sandy and is rain soaked and warmed by the oceanic climate that is ideal for the sport. The course adapts itself to the lie of the land and its upkeep is perfect.
