In the Thirties, Hossegor discovered a new architectural style called "basco-landais". It's a mixture of the basque house style and some aspects of the Landes influence. This architecture is characterized by colored wooden panels and red bricks. Inside of the houses, we can often find an "Art-deco" style.
You will admire these houses on the sea front, around the lake and along the Golf course.
To resume, this architecture symbolizes the identity of Hossegor.
